The Alexander officially opens its doors on September 4, 1925. The theater began featuring vaudeville performances, plays and silent movies on a single screen.
The Alex today is a 1,413-seat theater that is owned by the City of Glendale and operated by Glendale Arts, a private non-profit organization.
In addition, the theatre hosts a year-round season of:
